A fast online poker solver: how long a solve really takes

Measured on real solves by real players, not a benchmark we picked. The numbers, how they were taken, and what they do and do not include.

Short answer

The median flop solve on BeyondGTO takes 5.3 seconds of solver time, nine in ten finish within 20 seconds, and a river solve takes well under a second. It runs in the browser, so your computer does not set the speed.

The numbers

Street Solves measured Median Nine in ten within
Flop 423 5.3 s 20 s
River 23 0.14 s Under a second

Every solve players ran on the BeyondGTO app in the 30 days to 17 October 2026. The figure is solver time on the server: loading the page and drawing the result add a moment on top. Turn solves are left out because too few were run in the window to give a fair number.

Why a browser solver is quick

A desktop solver works on your own computer, so how long a flop takes depends on your memory, your processor and how big a tree you build: from minutes to hours. Here the solving happens on dedicated servers, and the result opens in the browser on a laptop or a phone. There is nothing to install and no machine to buy.

The flop is the slow street because everything after it branches from it. On the river every card is out and no street follows, which is why it solves almost instantly.

What it does not do

  • Custom solves are heads-up postflop. Multiway spots and custom preflop trees need a different tool.
  • Speed is not the only test. Check a fast answer on spots you already know well before you trust it on new ones.

What it costs

The free plan includes three AI solves a day on flop, turn or river, with no card. Pro removes the limit and adds node locking for $39.99 a month, or $24.99 a month billed yearly. Other solvers' prices are on the cheapest poker solvers page, checked 24 October 2026.

Questions

How long does a poker solver take to solve a flop?
On BeyondGTO, the median flop solve across 423 real solves in the 30 days to 17 October 2026 took 5.3 seconds of solver time, and nine in ten finished within 20 seconds. On a desktop solver the answer depends on your machine and the size of the tree, from minutes to hours.
Is a fast solve less accurate?
Flop answers come from an AI solver trained on full solves, which is what makes seconds possible; river spots are small enough to solve in full almost instantly. A fast answer is only worth having if it holds up, so test it on spots you already know well: the free plan gives you three a day to do exactly that.
Do I need a fast computer?
No. The solve runs on our servers and the result opens in your browser, on a laptop or a phone.
Can I try it free?
Yes. The free plan includes three AI solves a day on flop, turn or river, with no card. Pro removes the limit.
