Comparison
GTO Wizard alternatives, compared on what they cost and what they gate
Most "alternatives" lists are a ranking with the writer's own product at the top and no numbers anywhere. This one is mostly a table. Every price is dated, linked to its source, and checked on 16 September 2026 — including ours, which is the one we can state exactly.
Every plan, side by side
Not just the entry price. The full ladder for each product, with the per-format multiplication already done, because on a subscription sold per game the advertised figure is the price of one of the games you play.

Both NLH formats is the yearly price doubled, because cash and tournaments are bought separately. PLO4 is a third format again; we have not costed it because we have only verified the NLH Cash ladder, and a comparison page should not guess.
Two further costs are not in the table. Custom aggregated reports are metered in Power Credits on top of the subscription — 1,500 a month bundled at Ultra, which the vendor values at about $140 a month. And a desktop licence needs a machine capable of running it, which is the real reason those one-time figures look so low.
The number that matters is not the entry price
Comparing $39.99 with $49 is not very interesting, and it is not what separates these products. Three structural differences move real money, and none of them shows up in a headline figure.
Tiering: what you can do depends on what you bought
GTO Wizard sells 4 tiers — Starter $49, Premium $99, Elite $169, Ultra $289 a month — and the ladder exists because features sit at different rungs. That means choosing a plan requires predicting how you will study before you have started, and discovering the thing you need is one tier up is an upgrade decision rather than a settings change.
BeyondGTO has one full plan, Pro. Node-locking, bet-tree edits, the full Solver Library from preflop to river, GTO Reports across every board archetype and the hand vault are all in it, with no higher tier above. The only other paid plan, Drills, is narrower rather than a rung on the way up: unlimited graded drill hands for players who only want to drill. Whether that is worth anything to you depends on whether you would otherwise have bought an entry tier and then wanted something above it.
Formats multiply the tier
Tiers are bought per format — NLH Cash, NLH Tournament and PLO4 are separate purchases. The prices below are for one format. If you play both NLH formats — and most tournament players play cash, and plenty of cash players fire a Sunday — the real monthly cost is double the number in the table. At the tier marked most popular that is $158 a month billed yearly rather than $79. BeyondGTO's Pro covers every format, so this multiplication does not happen.
And some reports are consumable on top
Custom aggregated reports are metered in Power Credits rather than simply unlocked. The allowance is bundled only at the top rung — 1,500 a month at Ultra — and the vendor puts that at roughly $140 a month of value. So the full cost of heavy use is a tier, times the formats you play, plus consumption: three axes rather than one price.
Desktop licences: the machine is part of the price
GTO+ at $75 and PioSolver at $249 look cheap against any subscription, and if you already own a strong Windows machine they genuinely are. But a local solver is bounded by your RAM and your core count: the tree you can solve and how long you wait for it are hardware questions. Budget the computer alongside the licence, or the comparison is not a comparison.
Where the alternatives are genuinely stronger
A comparison page written by one of the products is worth reading only if it says this part, so:
- GTO Wizard has been at this longer and its pre-solved library is larger, especially at the upper tiers, with a deep back catalogue of recorded coaching alongside it. If what you are buying is breadth of ready-made solutions, that is a real advantage and no amount of pricing argument changes it.
- PioSolver is still the reference for people who want total control of the tree and are willing to drive it. If you are building bespoke research rather than studying spots, a local solver you own outright is the right tool.
- GTO+ is the cheapest way to own a solver outright. If your hardware is already there and a subscription is the thing you object to, that is a defensible purchase.
The part that costs nothing
Before paying anyone: a large amount of solver output is already published and free to read on this site, with no account at all — push/fold charts, opening ranges, blind defense, flop c-bet frequencies, all 169 starting hands and an equity calculator that takes solver ranges directly.
If you are working on preflop ranges and standard c-bet spots, that is most of what a subscription would have told you. The free plan adds the parts a published chart cannot do: your board, your ranges, your stack depth, and drills that grade you as you play.
Judge it on the free plan
Every verified signup gets a free week of Pro with no card, so what you are testing is the product rather than a demo of it. If it does not beat what you are paying for now, you have lost nothing.

Questions
- Is there a free GTO Wizard alternative?
- GTO Wizard has a free tier of its own — 100 preflop solutions, one postflop solution and ten practice hands a day — so the question is really which free plan suits you. BeyondGTO's starts with a free week of Pro for every verified signup, then allows three AI solves and fifty graded drill hands a day, plus unlimited hand recording and the whole published chart library with no account at all. Neither expires and neither asks for a card.
- What is the cheapest alternative?
- Among cloud tools, BeyondGTO at $39.99 a month is below GTO Wizard's entry tier, and the gap widens if you play more than one game type: GTO Wizard is priced per format, so NLH cash and NLH tournaments are separate subscriptions. Among desktop solvers, GTO+ at a one-time $75 is the cheapest way to own a solver outright, but you supply the hardware and the interface is built for people who already know what they are looking for.
- Do I need a powerful computer?
- For a cloud tool, no — it runs in a browser on a phone. For a desktop solver like PioSolver or GTO+, yes: the size of the tree you can solve is set by your RAM and cores, which is the cost people forget when they compare a one-time licence against a subscription.
- What is the actual difference in what you get?
- Price is set on three axes rather than one. GTO Wizard has four tiers above its free plan, each bought separately per format (NLH cash, NLH tournament and PLO4), with custom aggregated reports metered in consumable credits on top. Node-locking and the AI solver start at the Elite rung. BeyondGTO's Pro has everything in it, every format included, and nothing metered.
- Can I try it before paying?
- Yes. Sign in with Google and you start with a free week of Pro, then the free plan, with nothing to cancel because nothing was charged.
